At around 0730 hours Friday morning, the Vista and South Salem Fire Departments were dispatched to a Structure Fire on Ridgeland Road off of Lake Kitchawan Drive.

Upon arrival Vista Engine 141, Vista Car 2561, South Salem Car 2451 & South Salem Tanker 2 had smoke showing from the residence and placed one 1 3/4" hose line in operation where the fire was quickly knocked down. Vista & South Salem Firefighters conducted overhaul operations and checked for extension following extinguishment. Vista Tanker 4 was also on location to provide further water supply and Vista Ambulance 84B1 provided rehab operations in the event any First Responders needed medical care.

After determining that the fire had been adequately overhauled and extinguished following a complete investigation from the Westchester County Cause & Origin Team, command was terminated and units returned to service shortly after 0900 hours.
