EMS In-Service and Search & Rescue Drill for 02/19/18

This week's Monday Night Drill was "Search & Rescue" drill for our Firefighters and an "EMS In-Service" drill for our EMTs.

The "Search & Rescue" drill led by Lt. Phil Katz started with a PowerPoint presentation reviewing search & rescue techniques followed by several evolutions where search & rescue skills were necessary in a residential structure fire setting. This type of training helped our Firefighters better prepare themselves for the challenges they may face in a structure fire atmosphere when they may need to exit a building or conduct various tasks such as a search & rescue.

The "EMS In-Service" drill led by our Medical Director, Dr. David Zuckerberg, had our EMS personnel reviewing the medications we carry on our Ambulances for various different type of responses. This type of drill is part of the annual in-service training that our EMS personnel have to go through every year.
