Cardiac Arrest Drill for 01/29/18
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Vista Fire Department
January 30, 2018

This Monday's drill saw our Firefighters and EMT's working together during several cardiac arrest scenarios.

Led by Captain Debbie Ferman & Foreman Karen Lilly, our members went over each piece of equipment that we would need for a cardiac arrest call before participating in a cardiac arrest call scenario. Vista Fire Department members reviewed how to operate such equipment as the "Lucas 2 electric CPR device," the automated external defibrillator (AED) and the suction. Following the equipment review our members participated in several cardiac arrest call scenarios where they needed to use each piece of equipment. Working together as a team on these type of calls makes our First Responders more proficient in the event of an actual emergency.

The Vista Fire Department holds drill every Monday and if you are interested in becoming a member at the Vista Volunteer Fire Department, please click the "Become a Member" tab at VistaFD.org!
