On Friday afternoon around 1402 hours, Vista Firefighters and EMTs were dispatched to a 2-car motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Smith Ridge Road and Elmwood Road. The occupants self extricated prior to arrival and were evaluated by Vista EMS, with three occupants refusing medical attention and one patient taken to a nearby hospital via basic life support.

Vista Firefighters closed traffic on Smith Ridge Road and the scene was handed over to Lewisboro Police shortly after 1500 hours, at which point all Vista Fire Department units were cleared from the scene and returned to service.
