This week's Monday Night Drill was a "V.E.I.S." drill for our Firefighters and a "Weather Emergencies" drill for our EMTs.

This week's Fire drill led by Lt. Phil Katz had our Vista Firefighters going over the Firefighting technique known as V.E.I.S. which is Vent, Enter, Isolate and Search. Vista Firefighters would vent a 2nd story window, enter the room after it was vented, isolate the room to control the environment and then they conducted a rapid search to locate the patient.

This week's EMS drill led by Capt. Debbie Ferman and Lt. Allie Fisher had our EMS personnel going over how to treat patients suffering from complications caused by hot weather or cold weather emergencies. Vista EMTs and EMT Candidates reviewed such weather emergencies like hypothermia or heat stroke and how to treat them from a basic life support viewpoint.
