This week's Monday Night Drill was a "Search & Rescue" drill for our Firefighters and a "Stroke Response" drill for our EMTs.

This week's Fire drill led by Lt. Brian Porco had our Vista Firefighters perform search & rescue tactics from a hose line by stretching 200 feet of 1-3/4 hose line in a confined area. Once inside the structure, our Firefighters located the downed Firefighter and packaged them for extrication from the collapse zone.

This week's EMS drill led by Capt. Debbie Ferman and Foreman Karen Lilly had our EMTs and EMT Candidates going over how to handle stroke emergencies. Our EMS personnel reviewed the signs & symptoms of a stroke, how to diagnose a stroke by using the "Cincinnati Prehospital Stroke Scale" followed by a quiz to see how well everyone learned about stroke response during Monday's drill.
