This week's Monday drill was "Opioid Overdose" training for our Firefighters and EMTs.
Patrick Quinn from the Westchester County Department of Health led this week's drill as part of the "Community Opioid Overdose Training" through Westchester County. Our Vista First Responders learned how to properly use Narcan on a patient who has overdosed and all the dangers opioids possess to a human being. This type of training will now better equip our First Responders when handling an emergency response where an opioid overdose is detected.
If you are interested in being part of our team at the Vista FD, visit us any Monday night from 6:30pm - 9:30pm for more details or click the "Become a Member" tab at VistaFD.org!
