Sunday Training for 10/08/17

This Sunday morning we held an "MPO Class" and a "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.

This week's "MPO Class" led by Lt. Brian Porco covered drafting with Engine 143, the operations behind a 2-stage pump and how to operate the relief valve. This type of training is what will help our prospective Apparatus Drivers/MPOs become cleared drivers on Engine 143.

This week's "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" led by Lt. Phil Katz covered donning drills and how to perform a "reduced profile." This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.
