This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Fundamentals Class," an "EMT Fundamentals Class" and Driver Training for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 142 & Engine 143.

This week's "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" had our Firefighters reviewing extrication operations followed by drafting from multiple ports on Engine 141 while they practiced hose line advancement. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This week's "EMT Fundamentals Class"had our EMTs and EMT Candidates going over cardiac calls and how we respond to them. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates planning on taking the EMT-Basic class soon and for our current EMTs to keep up with their skills.
