This past Sunday morning we held an AHA CPR Class, "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" and Driver Training for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 141, Engine 142 & the Ambulances.

This week's "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" had our Firefighters going over pre-plans in the Vista Fire District #1 as they walked around the Oakridge Commons area. Pre-planning is where Firefighters take notice of the construction and hazards when reviewing a building. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who are currently attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

While the "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" and Driver Training was going on, the Vista Fire Department held an American Heart Association CPR class for several of our members. Our members take CPR on a yearly basis to properly serve the Vista Fire District #1 community.
