This past Saturday night several of our Vista Firefighters took the time to continue learning the pump panel for Engine 142 and practicing hose line advancement. Our Firefighters practiced drafting operations as they continue to go through their training on becoming new Engine drivers in the Vista FD. Drafting operations is the use of suction to move water from a body of water through the Engine's pump and feeding the hose line to our Firefighters so they can battle a fire.

While some of our Firefighters operated the Engine 142 pump panel, several other Firefighters practiced hose line advancement by going on air and working on advancement techniques with a fully-charged hose line.
