Probationary Firefighter Ty Graygor Completes Ambulance Driver Training
Vista Fire Department, July 16
The Vista Fire Department is proud to announce that Probationary Firefighter Ty Graygor is now qualified on our ambulances.
Probationary Firefighter Graygor successfully completed the ambulance driver training program, which included over 8 hours of behind-the-wheel driving and training on hospital operations. Probationary Firefighter Graygor will now begin training to drive Engine 142 moving forward.

New Ambulance 84B2 Overview Drill for 07/14/25

This week’s Monday Night Drill was a “New Ambulance 84B2 Overview” drill for our members.
The drill took place at the Vista Firehouse, where members were introduced to the department’s new AEV Traumahawk Ford F550 ambulance, designated 84B2. Sunday Training for 07/13/25

This Sunday morning, we held our "Onboarding Module Training Program" for several new members of the Vista Fire Department, along with a "Firefighter Skills Class" and driver training for members working toward becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 141, Engine 142, Engine 143 & our Ambulances.

This Sunday morning, we held a "Firefighter Skills Class" and driver training for members working towards becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 142.

CPR Drill for 06/30/25

This week's Monday Night Drill was "CPR" for our members.
The "CPR" drill had our members attending an American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification class. Vista Fire Department personnel are trained to use cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as a lifesaving technique in emergencies such as cardiac arrest, near-drowning incidents, or situations where a patient's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. ...
