Firefighter Mark Albert completes Tanker 4 training

The Vista Fire Department is proud to announce that Firefighter Mark Albert is now qualified on Tanker 4!

FF Albert completed the T-4 driver training by learning how to operate T-4's pump panel, participating as the T-4 driver in several "Tanker Shuttle" drills and completing 8 hours or more of "drive time" behind the wheel. This week's Monday night drill saw our Vista Firefighters going through hose line advancement training. The purpose of this training is for our Firefighters to have the proper fundamentals of fighting a fire in the event of an emergency. This past Sunday morning the Vista Fire Department conducted a MPO class for those perspective drivers who are learning how to drive & operate the Tanker in the Vista Fire Department. To conduct the Tanker Shuttle training we were also joined by members of the Pound Ridge Fire Department and Pound Ridge Tanker 3.

New Vista Engine 141 update for 8/19/16

The Vista Fire Department's new Seagrave Custom pumper is in the process of being assembled at Seagrave's headquarters in Clintonville, Wisconsin and here are the latest photos of our new Engine 141 as of August 19th, 2016.

This new Engine 141 was approved by the Vista Fire District #1 Board of Fire Commissioners in December 2015 and is expected to be at the Vista Firehouse in October 2016.... (Full Story & Photos)
